SUPER SUPER EXCITED!!!

For the most part, I've always been a girly girl. As a little girl, I loved to dress up! I was trying to get into mommys makeup and clomping around in her high heels. I thought I was little miss thang :) As started to grow up, i she my mother's pretties for my own. I enjoyed looking at magazines and attempting to duplicate "the IN look"...mostly it was a fail...but I loved doing it.
In college, everyone is broke! Desperate times called for desperate measures...the girls ended up turning to ME to color and trim their hair. I found myself to actually be pretty good at it...but it was just a thing...nothing major. Now, I've graduated and while looking an my degree the tght flushed through my mind,"now what am I going to do with it?!" This struck a pang of fear within me. Since then, I have been looking for ways to use my degree as a lifestyle.
I believe that God created each of us beautiful. It is my desire to show others the their own beauty through Christ. Who better to portray this thought than a hairdresser?! I will never stand behind a pulpit, but I do have a great life thanks to God and I can share that with those in my chair. With this mindset, I am looking into cosmetology schools. This is a trade that is usable whenever and wherever the Lord leads. I believe that God instills passions within us to be used for His glory. I may not be the very best in the trade, but it is my prayer that I will do my best for the cause of Christ. Please pray with Chris and I that God supplies strength, finances, will power and overall blessing as I embark on this opportunity....Tomorrow, I am going to visit schools to see if indeed this is how God wants to use me:)

Fla VACA!!! WOOP WOOP :D

We had a FANTASTIC trip :) Tuesday evening we headed out to work at baout 7pm...Chris drove all night and through the following morning. We arrived in Jacksonville just in time for lunch. I am so proud of the hubby. I only drove about 3 hrs...he did the rest! It's amazing what those 5 hr energy drinks can do ;p Mom and Blake had a great pot of chili cooking for us to all have lunch together...yum!! Then, we all just sat around and talked. It was so nice to be back with the fam again!
We when let Rosie into the front yard, my grandmother came to the door and started telling me just how she planned to spoil Rosie. She took us to the Petsmart and did just that! Yay for Granny's and their spoiling capabilities!!
Then for dinner, my mom took us to my all time favorite place...SONNY'S!! I was so uber excited!! Sonny's  is this BBQ franchise that I've only seen in Florida. I really LLLOOVVVE their sweet sauce! Chris LOATHES the place because they don't cook the meat in the sauce, you add it to your own taste. He calls it FAKE BBQ..WHATEVER!! He doesn't know! After all of this, we went home and snuggled until the following morning...and by morning, I mean about NOON!
Thursday was NYE and we had some partying to do, so we mainly just chilled until later. The weather was very cold and wet. We were so super disppointed :( We had planned to go party at the Jacksonville Landing...which is like a boardwalk down the river. It's beautiful out there! It also holds a special place in my heart. This is where we celebrated NYE 3 yrs ago...when Chris came to Jax to see me. Our first smooch was under the firecrackers at NYE at The Landing :) AAAAWWWLLL ;) So, its become kind of a tradition...Well, we were trying to make other plans, die to the weather. Those all seemed lame, but we decided to order some pizza and just chill with some friends. As we were headed to pick up the pizza,we decided just to go to the Landing! We grabbed the pizza and ran home to change...then we ate and headed to the river :D The weather had cleared up in that part of town and it was actually pretty nice weather out there! We partaaaed until morning and headed home to crash! We brought the New Year in Right!!
..........the story goes on, but I'll save it for later ;)
